For the first time in history, Nigeria wins on F1 circuit in Belgium

Against all odds, Nigeria has added motor racing to the number of sports it is excelling in.

Motor racer, Nouri Shanhin put Nigeria’s name on the victory list on the Belgium circuit venue of the of the Formula One gran prix racing when he won the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race held at the Spa Francorchamps on Saturday.

The 24 hour race with 50 cars in competition, was extremely intense, reports Leipert Autosport.

The race kicked off mid day Friday and ended on Saturday. It was almost marred by heavy accidents, as this report says, but Shahin Nouri who flies the flag of Nigeria by virtue of marriage came out victorious.

Nicknamed Fine Boy racing, “Nouri wrote on Instagram, “For the first time in Nigerian history, the #Nigerian national #anthem has been played for a#Motorsport #Victory at the #legendary#F1 #track of #SPA #Francorchamps in#Belgium. The same track where Rosberg and Hamilton had their Formula 1 race this weekend. I am very #proud of this! Nouri is married to Tatiana Moussalli Nouri, the daughter of the GMD of Cool FM, Wazobia FM, Cool TV and Wazobia TV.
