A fire outbreak has occurred at the popular Restaurants House, located behind Old English, Agu-Awka, in Awka, Anambra State, razing the roofs, furniture, equipment, and parts of the building.

Eyewitnesses said the fire, which suddenly started at about midnight on Wednesday, emanated from a corner of the building and spread to the rooftop before the arrival of operatives of the Anambra State Fire Service, who battled to quench the fire and prevented it from spreading to other buildings.
