Nigerian entrepreneur, fintech executive, and political strategist Morris Monye has criticised a local airline after he and several other passengers were allegedly issued handwritten boarding tickets for a domestic flight.
Monye shared a video of the boarding pass on X, expressing concern over the development and questioning the state of the country’s aviation sector.
“What’s going on with our aviation
“I was on an early morning flight with United Nigeria, and I (along with many other passengers) was issued a handwritten ticket. If I didn’t video it, you probably will not believe me. It’s concerning for me.”
According to him, the incident occurred while he was travelling from Lagos to Anambra through the domestic terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
Monye stated that many passengers appeared shocked after receiving handwritten tickets instead of the standard printed boarding passes commonly used by airlines.
He added that the situation created uncertainty among travellers and sparked concerns regarding the airline’s booking and check-in processes.
