Fayose forces EFCC to release Fani Kayode’s wife, Nigerians react
The report that Governor Ayodele Fayose stopped the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from arresting the wife and 8-month-old son of Chief Fani Kayode, has stirred reactions around the nation.
Below are reactions of Nigerians drawn from different social media platforms.
Wike stopped the DSS from arresting a Judge
Fayose stormed a Police Station to release an EFCC Suspect
Rule of Law people are SILENT.
OK.

Fayose and his ideological brother in rivers are now professional obstructionists. I hope their tenure lasts forever

So Fayose closed the whole Access Bank branch in Ekiti because of Chiwendu.

In another platform, a certain West looked beyond parallels between Governor Nyesom Wike and his Ekiti state counterpart, he said: “Neither Wike nor Fayose is the problem here. Rather the problem is the weak administration of the Daura man who has surrounded himself with strange and incompetent human beings.
Many thanks to his wife who just confirmed what we already know. Tell me can any governor ever tried such madness with OBJ? Fayose had to escape inside the booth of a car as a sitting governor when OBJ zeroed-in on him. Buhari is so weak that even the treasury looters like Madam Jonathan are now bold to claim their loots hitherto sized by EFCC.
Obanikoro just returned to the country after he discovered that the much noise about fighting corruption is just business and usual. Once again Nigerians have hired the wrong person for the job of presidency.”
Eddy said: “Why Is it that EFCC is only after some particular individuals from a particular political party. While others are walking freely. This doesn’t sound to me like they are doing their work rather they are politically motivated to deal with the oppositions just like OBJ used them to punish his enemies PMB is doing the same. This act is barbaric and against the fundamental human rights which is enshrined in our constitution.”
Kelechi obiora said: “Nigerians, we cant have it both ways. When DSS were hindered in Rivers, Wike cited rule of law. In Ekiti now, EFCC is hindered and the governor is issuing threats and insisting a private concern apologize to him when he was neither wronged nor resisted.
The lawyers wanted EFCC to investigate corruption allegations, now in Ekiti, same agency just got hindered. It is not fair game when a governor breaches the laws for personal ego and the FG is made to conform because it affects the standing of some in society. The immunity thing must be reviewed as its has shown it corrupts absolutely.”
Dimkpa was of the opinion that: “It is a very big shame on this present Government that instead of facing the numerous problems hitting this Nigeria at the moment, they are very busy chasing shadows. THAT IS THE “CHANGE” INDEED, which has succeeded in sending this country back to the stone ages where things are done with Idiaminic style, to the detriment of the entire nation.
The President cares less about the total degredation of things around — no wonder why his honest wife is going vocal. Why disturb the wife of FK? Until Nigerians rise up en-mass against the present antiquated method of rulership of this hopeless APC, they will continue the whole of this mess.”
Ruthie asked the questions: “Why is Buhari fighting women here, there and everywhere. First it was his wife Aisha, now it’s another man’s wife? What on earth is wrong with our president. Rather than fight recession that is killing Nigerians our president is running up and down the country fighting women? Most disappointing.”
