A 46-year-old resident of Bayelsa, Patrick Markson, on Thursday allegedly killed the mother of his six children, Hannah, before committing suicide at their residence in the Etegwe area of Yenagoa.
Patrick was alleged to have hit his 35 year old wife with a sledgehammer while she was fast asleep on their matrimonial bed.
He, subsequently, allegedly drank an insecticide and slept beside her.
Sources said that no suicide note was found in the room.
