Father locks, confines 35-year-old son in uncompleted apartment for 15 years

The police in Kano have rescued another man identified as Ibrahim Lawan allegedly held in captivity for 15 years by his father at Skeka quarters in Kano metropolis.

The 35-year old Lawanda was said to have been locked up in captivity since when he was 20-years-old.

A video clip circulating showed how policemen in the state evacuated the man on a stretcher from an uncompleted apartment into a waiting ambulance to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.

It was gathered that the operatives attached to the Kano State Headquarters of the state Police Command rescued the victim around 11:45am on Sunday.

The rescue of Lawan was coming barely four days after (Thursday), one Ahmed Aminu, 30-year-old, confined by his father, Aminu Farawa in a car garage was also rescued by the police in the state.
