Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has slammed APC chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for not standing up to greet the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Fani-Kayode shared a picture showing Tinubu and the Ooni of Ife apparently at the palace of the newly installed Oniru of Iruland, Oba Abdul-Wasiu Omogbolahan Lawal.

The picture shows the Ooni of Ife standing while exchanging greetings with Tinubu who was seated beside the Oniru.

In the caption of the picture shared on Instagram, Fani-Kayode said that Tinubu’s attitude towards the Ooni of Ife is a “crying shame”.

He said, “That the Asiwaju of Bourdillon refused to stand up to greet the Ooni of Ife speaks volumes.

“This was not only deeply insulting to every Ife and indeed son and daughter of Odua but it is also a crying shame.

“Would a northern political leader refuse to stand up for his traditional ruler?,” he asked.
