Ex-Nigerian senator, Kumo, reportedly dies after brief illness
A former Nigerian senator who served as a special adviser to former President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Saidu Kumo, has reportedly died after a brief illness.
The 71-year-old was said to have passed away on Sunday at a Gwagwalada hospital in Abuja having been admitted for an undisclosed illness.
Kumo represented Gombe Central Constituency in the Senate between 1999 and 2003 on the platform of the All Peoples Party (APP) which later became the All Nigeria Peoples Party.
