Nigerian singer and songwriter, John Ighodaro, professionally known as Johnny Drille, has jokingly shaded his Abuja fans for not holding his leg during his recent show.
In what he described as “double standard”, the Mavin Records’ star’s comment comes as a reaction to viral videos showing how an overexcited fan stormed the stage to pull Wizkid’s leg on Wizkid.
The fan refused to let go of the “Essence” crooner’s leg at his Wizkid ‘’Live in concert’ show held on Friday night at Transcorp Hilton.
It took the intervention of bodyguards to free Wizkid’s leg as the show was temporarily paused over the drama.
During the struggle, Wizkid fell on the stage as the bodyguards were trying to free him from the grip of the determined fan.
Drille, on the other hand, who did not experience a similar drama during his show in Abuja last week shared his displeasure in a hooking manner on Instagram.
“So Abuja People held Wizkid’s legs yesterday, and I was in Abuja last week o, they did not hold my leg. Double standards!!!
“I will see you people next year,” he said in a post shared with his 626 thousand followers.
“SMH. And they didn’t even tear my trouser at least,” he added.
