Nigerians don’t deserve this, Mayorkun mourns Abuja-Kaduna train attack victims
Nigerian singer and songwriter, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, aka Mayorkun, on Tuesday mourned the victims of terrorist attack aboard the ill-fated Kaduna-Abuja train.
This is even as he emphasised that its high time Nigerians held their leaders accountable.
WuzupNigeria reports that the Kaduna-bound train was about 25 kilometres to its destination when the terrorists attacked with explosives and guns.
According to the ‘Your Body’ singer, it saddens his heart how much people have to struggle to survive in a country where people voted for leaders.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, he said; “My heart goes out to everyone affected by the Kaduna train attack!
“It’s very unreasonable and undeserving to say the least.
“Reading the sad story about Chinelo, makes me feel worse as she and everyone on that train didn’t deserve this.
“People are really struggling to survive in a horrible economy that doesn’t favour the average Nigerian at all, and we are still being killed in the midst of everything.
“It’s high time we held our leaders accountable for our lives and properties. It is what they promised us and what we voted them to do.
“Today It’s Kaduna and if nothing continues to be done, tomorrow it could be anywhere else”.
