Emerging reports say popular South African Hip-hop artist, Riky Rick, born Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado, left a depressing tweet on his social media page before he committed suicide.
The singer took his life in the early hours of Wednesday in his home in the Northern suburbs of Johannesburg, South Africa.
His final tweets sent a strong cryptic message to his fans and followers across the globe.
“I’ll return a stronger man. This land is still my home,” his last tweet reads.
He was aged 34.
His death was coming after a long battle with depression.
Reports said that the rapper was found he was found dangling from a rope in his home at 8.30 am on Wednesday by close associates and rushed to a nearby hospital.
But he died before they could get to the health facility.
Rick was popularly known across the music and fashion industries in South Africa.
He was famous for his iconic fashion sense and willingness to empower young artists across the country.
The artist was the founder and owner of the Cotton Club Records label and Cotton Fest music festival.
