American rapper, Travis Scott, on Thursday, asked the victims of Stampede at the Astroworld Festival in Houston to contact him directly for help.
Scott’s representative said in a statement that families wishing to help in any way would need to contact his team via a dedicated email address.
Nine persons have been reported dead so far, with many injured since the Astroworld concert on Friday, during his performance at NRG Park.
Scott had already offered to pay for the funeral costs of people who died in the stampede and free mental health counselling for susrvivors.
On Thursday, his representative, Scott and his team, “through proper contact, have been actively exploring routes of connection with all families affected by the tragedy," Reuters reports.
Meanwhile, more than 25,000 people have signed a Change.org petition to have Travis Scott removed from next year’s Coachella festivities.
