Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha has said he is confident that President Muhammadu Buhari will be re-elected at the end of the ongoing Presidential election.

The Governor also said he will win his senatorial election.

Okorocha, who voted alongside his wife, Nkechi at 11:18am, at polling unit D in Ogboko ward in the Ideato south Local Government Area of Imo state, said;

“I am happy with INEC and how the smart card readers are functioning.”

According to him, INEC had made tremendous improvement compared to its outing in 2015.

The Governor who is the APC candidate for Imo west senatorial district said that the President’s speech on ballot box snatching had frightened people from engaging in electoral violence.
Okorocha said;

“though there are few cases of ballot box snatching at Umuobom and Osomotor but the president’s speech on ballot box snatching has sacred people from snatching ballot boxes. That is good for our democracy.

“If the number of people at rallies translate to voting, Buhari will win. I will also win as always.”

The Governor however said that the incident which led to stabbing to death of an APC chieftain, one Chief Uzoma on Friday night in his local government was being investigated.
