The Managing Director of Medview Airline, Alhaji Muneer Bankole, has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged Hajj scam.

Mr Bankole allegedly diverted 50% of the funds paid to him by the National Hajj Commission.

He is said to have also failed to airlift pilgrims in 2019 after collecting the sum of $900,000 for that purpose.

The suspect was reportedly detained on Monday afternoon at the headquarters of the EFCC in Jabi, Abuja.
