Eclipse: US astrology influencer kills husband, child over 'spiritual warfare'

A 34-year-old astrology influencer, Danielle Johnson, reportedly killed her partner, infant child, and herself following warnings about the “spiritual warfare” of the total solar eclipse, according to police.

The tragic incident occurred on April 8, the same day as the eclipse, when Johnson pushed her two children from a moving car on a Los Angeles freeway at around 4:30 a.m. local time. Half an hour later, she crashed her Porsche SUV into a tree in Redondo Beach.

While her nine-year-old child sustained moderate injuries from the fall, her eight-month-old baby tragically passed away at the scene. Johnson did not survive the crash.

Earlier that day, Johnson is believed to have stabbed her partner, Jaelen Chaney, during a verbal altercation at their home in Woodland Hills. Chaney succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Johnson had posted warnings about the eclipse’s spiritual significance on social media under the moniker “Ayoka.” Just days before the eclipse, she tweeted, “This eclipse is the epitome of spiritual warfare. Get your protection on and your heart in the right place.”

However, police are not considering the eclipse to be a contributing factor in the deaths, as stated by LAPD Lt. Guy Golan: “We just don’t know why she did what she did.”

Neighbors discovered Chaney’s body after noticing their front door was open. Tarot cards and black feathers were found in Johnson’s apartment.
