“Wrestling is what brought me to the limelight and it is what I have been engaging in over a period of time; however, I have a different personality aside from being a wrestler.

“I am a different person from a wrestler on the mat to the person at home. I believe that wrestling is my chosen career and something I have been into for a very long time.

“As I said, I have a different personality being a wrestler, because I am not violent, my character as a wrestler on the mat is different from Adekuoroye as a person.

“I am a God-fearing person, lovable and accommodating, but I love the sport and will continue to give my best for the country.”

Adekuoroye said that she was humbled by the award she received at the 7th Nigerian Sports Awards, adding that it was a great privilege for her.

“I am so humbled by the award given to me by the Nigerian Sports Awards; I want to say that it was a worthwhile recognition.

“It is a great privilege to be among those that were honoured and I thank God for this. My appreciation also goes to the President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Daniel Igali.

“I also thank my spiritual father, Dr D.K. Olukoya, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministry and also my coach, my fans all over the world,”she said.
