Delta Killings: Edwin Clark pleads with soldiers to act maturely
Following the killing of Seventeen military personnels in Delta, an elder statesman and Ijaw Nation Leader, Edwin Clark, has appealed to soldiers to act maturely and not take laws into their hands.
Edwin on Arise TV earlier on Wednesday morning said “ I know the military is provoked ,we are all provoked but that is not enough to take laws into your hands. There are innocent children and pregnant women caught in this.”
It was reported that the soldiers had opened fire on the residents of the Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area in Delta and killed 50 persons.
Authorities including the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu has condemned the attack on the soldiers and has called for thorough investigation into the matter.
