Davido has reacted to the controversial promotional video announcing an upcoming programme of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) programme.

The singer was lambasted on social media after the video emerged online.

The video was posted on the Instagram page of Biodun Fatoyinbo, Senior Pastor of COZA and he has since deleted it following the uproar it generated.

In his reaction, Davido claimed the video was doctored and he has given the church an ultimatum to retract the said video.

He claimed he only speak with the little girl who was introduced to him as a fan and never knew the video was to be used to promote a COZA programme.

Davido also threatened to seek legal redress if the video is not withdrawn.

He wrote:

“I’m writing quickly to disclaim viral videos going round of me advertising for Coza event to come up.”

“I want to say I have NOTHING whatsoever to do with the church!!! The fact I did a quick video for a kid introduced as a fan just for her personal use and it was chopped up and used for such an advert extremest disappoints me”

“It is fraudulent and extremely disrespectful!!! I have never and most certainly am not associated in any way with Coza church and have reached out to those responsible for this madness immediately!! I will most certainly be proceeding further if you do not retract that video immediately!! A word is enough”
