Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has given his fellow artist, Oyindamola Emmanuel, also known as Dammy Krane, a 24-hour ultimatum to retract offensive statements made against him on social media.

Davido’s lawyer, Chikaosolu Ojukwu, SAN, issued a letter warning Dammy Krane to comply with the demands or face legal action.

The lawyer stated that Dammy Krane must “remove and retract the offensive publication from all your social media platforms” and “immediately refrain from any further publication of defamatory statements against our client on any platform whatsoever.”

This action follows recent posts by Dammy Krane on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, where he insinuated that Davido’s forthcoming wedding to Chioma Rowland was only planned because she caught him cheating. Davido’s lawyer highlighted the seriousness of the allegations, stating that these posts were defamatory and constituted cyberbullying. The letter, numbered REF: OC/EXT/VOL/127/2024, emphasized Davido’s global reputation and the potential harm caused by these false statements.
