Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya says the Dankwambo administration spent over N7Billion out of the actual N11Billion in elephant projects.

He noted that his administration came with a mission, which he said is for change to improve the living condition of the people of the state.

Yahaya stated this on Monday at the presentation Report of the Committee on Mega Park, Tankers Bay & International Conference Centre headed by the Deputy Governor, Manassah Jatau at the Government House, Chamber.

He said, “In other to improve human capital you must manage projects prudently and efficiently. That was why we set up the committee with specific terms of reference. We will need to study the report to know how best to implement the recommendations of the committee. Money had gone as N7Billion has so far been paid out of the N11B, for me, I can say has so far been wasted on those projects, in other to make those projects functional to work.”

He added that his administration will do everything possible to get the projects working.”For me, I prioritize an industrial park to a motor park. If you go there you will see that some of the structures were painted on the twilight of the last administration in other to deceive people, which one comes first is it marriage or Naming Ceremony.”
Speaking Earlier the Deputy Governor Dr. Manassah Jatau said his committee discovered that return on investment was not taken into consideration.

Manassah stressed that the various projects were increased away from the initial budget.

“The cost of the International Conference center was N1.2B to N4.2B, Mega park from N3.2B to N6B, and the petroleum tanker bay N352M to N565M doubling the actual sum.”
