The Cherubim and Seraphim University in Kwara State is set to begin full academic operations in 2026.
Reverend Esther Ajayi, founder of the Love of Christ Church in Lagos and chairperson of the C&S Centenary Anniversary Steering Committee, revealed this during the church’s centenary lecture in Lagos on Monday.
She explained that the project is nearing completion.
“The university is already 80 percent complete,” Ajayi said. “This is a big step for the church and a way to prepare future leaders who will hold strong moral values.”
Ajayi stressed that the new university will focus on building character and addressing moral decline in society.
“With the drop in moral values we see today, this school will help instill the right values in students. Our aim is to raise people who will make society better,” she said.
She added that the school will also serve as a platform to train young people for global evangelism.
“The church is setting up institutions and structures to build bridges in the world,” she said. “We want to train bold minds who can take the gospel to different parts of the world and help correct the problems we see in society.”
The university project is part of the activities marking 100 years of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church.
