C’River gov assures Mayorkun of compensation for stolen necklaces

Popular Nigerian musician, Mayorkun, has disclosed that Cross River State Governor, H.E Prince Bassey Otu has assured him of compensation for the valuables he lost in Calabar. 

The singer shared this information on his X account on Tuesday along with a photo from the meeting.

In his post, Mayorkun expressed gratitude to Governor Bassey Otu, stating that the governor emphasized the hospitality of the people of Calabar and guaranteed compensation for the items he lost. 

 “He assured me that Calabar people remain very hospitable and he has also stressed that I’ll be compensated for my valuables lost. Thank you sir 🫶🏾.

“Still searching for my pendant! 💎 It’s so special to me for many reasons. I have a N5m reward for anyone who finds and returns it. Please help spread the word! 🫶🏾,” he wrote

Recall that Wuzup Nigeria ealier reported that Mayorkun had previously voiced his dissatisfaction after the theft of an undisclosed item, vowing not to perform in Calabar again. 

He also mentioned the special significance of a missing pendant and announced a N5 million reward for anyone who finds and returns it. Meanwhile, his colleague Iyanya has confirmed the return of one of the stolen necklaces.
