COVID-19 test conducted on Actor Sadiq Daba before his death – wife

Published

As millions of Nigerians continue to mourn the death of the nation’s iconic broadcaster and actor, Sadiq Abubakar Daba, his wife disclosed that a number of tests including COVID-19 were carried out to diagnose his ailment.

The statement was credited to popular activist and one of his closest friends, Joe Odumakin.

Recall that the deceased passed away on Wednesday night after a long battle with leukaemia and prostate cancer.

Confirming his death last night, Odumakin recalled that “…about a week ago, he had been ill but he had been home and that he went to the hospital late afternoon today.

“She [his wife] explained that he had not been eating much and that as soon as they got to the hospital, they started conducting different tests on him including COVID-19. They put him on oxygen but he died around 8:30 pm,” she said.
