COVID-19: Lagos extends market hours
The Lagos State Government has extended the hours of operations of both food markets and non-food markets.
They are now to open at 8am and close at 6pm.
In a statement by the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Dr Wale Ahmed, the decision by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is to further enhance trade and commerce and mitigate the hardship of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ahmed emphasised that the alternate days of operations will remains in force, whereby food markets open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Non-food markets open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
