Coronavirus: NYSC tests corps members, officials, others
Management of National Youth Service Scheme in Osun State has said all 2,300 2020 Batch A corps members deployed to the state, as well as officials that would work with them were all tested before they were allowed into the camp.
In the address of the commencement of the three weeks Orientation Course at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Thursday, Osun State Coordinator of the scheme, Adewale Adegoke, explained that visitors to the camp were also being screened.
According to him, all the 2,300 corps members deployed to the state comprising 1,100 males and 1,200 females commenced medical screening at the entrance of the camp on Sunday before they were allowed into the premises.

Adegoke, “At the gate, you will see hand sanitizers to be used by all visitors and prospective corps members and we are using a thermometer for anybody that wants to enter the camp.
“We started the medical checkup on Sunday before the orientation course commenced for prospective corps members, officials, and marketers.
“We have written a letter to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile Ife to come and sensitise us on preventive measures against Coronavirus and Lassa fever.
“We have also notified the Ministry of Health, Osun State to come and enlighten officials, corps members, and marketers on camp.”
Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, who was represented by Secretary to the State Government, Prince Oluwole Oyebamiji, assured the corps members of adequate security during camping and in their service year.
Representative of the State’s Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, later administered the oath on the Corps members to signify the commencement of the orientation course.
