A woman has reportedly died after her stepson attack her with a knife in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

WuzupNaija gathered that the middle-aged man sliced open his stepmom’s throat on Tuesday at their home in Cocaine village, Rumuogba, Port Harcourt.

It was further gathered that the deceased was picking chaffs from beans in the evening when her biological son suddenly heard her scream.

Upon rushing out, he saw his mom in a pool of blood with a gash on her neck, and his stepbrother standing beside her.

He immediately ran to a hospital near their house, but by the time he returned the killer had locked the gate.

He then raised an alarm which attracted neighbours, who later called in the police. However, by the time they eventually gained entrance into the compound, the lady had bled to death.

The suspect has since been arrested.

No reason has been given for the suspect’s action.
