Published

Pastor Gabriel Oladapo of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, MCC Kuje, has called on Christians in the country to give willingly during and after the Christmas celebrations for divine fulfillment and everlasting freedom.

Gabriel gave this advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Kuje, shortly after Christmas Carol Service with the theme entitled “Joy To The World” in the Church.

He said it was necessary for Christians to imbibe the culture of giving and sacrifice so that God will take them to a height they have never been to.

According to him, for Christians to have a successful and impactful Christmas celebrations it was necessary to put a smile on the faces of the needy and the less privileged in the society.

“The essence of this Christmas Carol is to bring Joy back to the people when we have great insecurity in the land and when people have lost hope in the entire system.

“Jesus is the hope of the world, God Himself gave us Joy by giving His only begotten Son and as long as we have Jesus in us there will be everlasting Joy.

“This is the season that Christ was born as gift to the world and that is why we have gathered to celebrate Him, we should continue to radiate the Joy of God.

“We should let people see that indeed Christ is in us and we have Joy living in us by giving to our neighbours and friends to bring back the old glory,” he said.

He maintained that Christians should love the Lord, serve Him with all their hearts, all their souls and keep His commandments and statutes for life everlasting.

However, the cleric also enjoined all Christians to give willingly to the needy for the progress and development of the Church and the country.

Oladapo also called on Nigerians, irrespective of socio- cultural and ethno-religious differences, to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, tolerance and forgiveness in order to move the nation forward.
