Chris Brown speaks amid rape allegation

Published

American rapper and dancer, Christopher Maurice Brown aka Chris Brown, has broken silence on the rape allegation leveled against him.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit was filed by a 32-year-old artist identified as Jane Doe, who is a professional singer, dancer, model and choreographer.

According to the suit, Doe stated that she was facetiming her friend when Brown grabbed the phone and told her to come to Diddy’s home on Miami’s Star Island immediately.

Upon getting there, she was offered a mixed drink in the kitchen afterwhich both of them indulged in conversations about her music career.

After drinking this, Doe said she felt “a sudden, unexplained change in consciousness.”

She stated that she suddenly began to feel “disoriented, physically unstable, and started to fall in and out of sleep”.

Later on, he allegedly led her “drugged” and “half-asleep” self into a bedroom and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.

Reacting to the allegations, Chris Brown in an Instagram post on Friday asked his fans to take note of a pattern of “cap”, a slang which means “lie”.

“I HOPE YALL SEE THIS PATTERN OF [CAP],” he wrote, using a cap emoji. “Whenever I’m releasing music or projects, ‘THEY’ try to pull some real bulls**t.”

Though he didn’t clearly state the pattern he was referring to or who he was addressing, it is fitting to note that this comes shortly after the suit went public.
