Carabao Cup: Chelsea crash out after penalty shootout with Tottenham
Chelsea has crashed out of the Carabao Cup after losing to Tottenham on Tuesday night.
The game was decided by penalties after its full time ended 1-1.
Chelsea’s new signing, Timo Werner, opened scoring for the Blues who controlled the pace in the first half.
Tottenham turned things around in the second half with Erik Lamela equalizing to send the game into penalty shootouts.
Mason Mount was the only player that lost his spot-kick thereby sending Tottenham into the next round of the competition.
