Burna Boy’s ‘African Giant’ goes platinum France
Renowned Nigerian artist Burna Boy achieves a historic milestone as his album ‘African Giant’ becomes the first Nigerian album to receive platinum certification in France.
Released in 2019, ‘African Giant’ marked a pivotal moment in Burna Boy’s career, propelling him to international acclaim with chart-topping singles like ‘On The Low’, ‘Gbona’, ‘Dangote’, ‘Killing Dem’, and ‘Anybody’.
After five years since its debut, ‘African Giant’ has surpassed 100,000 units in sales, earning the prestigious platinum status in France. Notably, the success of tracks like ‘On The Low’ and ‘Gbona’ significantly contributed to the album’s certification.
Previously, ‘African Giant’ shared the SNEP gold record with Rema’s debut album ‘Raves & Roses’. Burna Boy’s track ‘Last Last’ also achieved diamond status by SNEP in 2023, further solidifying his global recognition in the music industry.
