Burna Boy expresses gratitude for Boston’s honor
Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has expressed his delight over the declaration of March 2nd as his day in the city of Boston, Massachusetts, United States.
The Boston City Council bestowed this honor on the acclaimed artist, recognizing his outstanding performances and advocacy efforts.
Burna Boy was presented with a plaque by the Boston City Council during the city’s leg of his ‘I Told Them’ tour on Saturday, commemorating the occasion.
Taking to social media to share his joy, he posted a photo of himself lifting the plaque on stage and wrote, “I feel incredibly honoured and privileged! Thank you Boston! The goal has always been the same, to bring the world together. We are all so different but all the same! 2nd of March a.k.a Burna Boy Day.”
