“It is with total submission to the will of Allah that we received the sad news of the death of one of our students studying in India, Galadima Bulama.

“It is saddening that the young man with a bright future died at this time but, as Muslims, we believed it is the will of Allah (SWT).

“On behalf of myself, the government and people of Yobe state, l condole the family of late Galadima with a very heavy heart,” the statement said.

Gov. Buni prayed for the repose of the soul of the decease in Aljannatur Firdausi and to the family, the fortitude to bear the loss.

The statement said Bulama, an undergraduate student of Medical Laboratory, was one of 233 students sponsored by the Yobe government to study various courses in Indian universities.

“Galadima went to buy a cell phone and was disembarking from the bus when he missed a step, hit his head on a hard surface and sustained internal injuries.

“Until his death, the deceased received the best medical attention, as the school authority and the hospital where he was admitted, had remained in touch with the state government.

“Meanwhile, Galadima will be buried in India according to Islamic rites on the authority of his parents and the state government,” it said.

The statement said a government delegation had been drafted to pay official condolence visit to the family of the decease.
