Buhari to return from UK medical trip today

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) is reportedly set to return from his trip to London, the United Kingdom, today, Friday, August 13, 2021.
This comes a day after he paid a surprise visit to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, in London.
WuuzupNigeria reported that Buhari left the country for the UK on July 26 to participate in the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership or Education (GPE) 2021-2025 before spending a few days undergoing a previously scheduled medical check-up, one which attracted condemnation from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party who alleged that Buhari’s “administration has crippled our health sector.”
After spending about 18 days in London, The Nation, quoting a police wireless message dispatched Thursday by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, reports that the president is expected to return today.
The report revealed that the message was dispatched to all Sector Commanders and Divisional Police Officers alerting them of the President’s expected arrival at 5pm at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
All the receivers of the notice have equally been directed to mobilise adequately inward Abuja, according to the message.
“Mr President will be arriving in Abuja from his trip outside the country tomorrow (Friday), the 12/08/2021 by 1700hrs.
“Compol (Commissioner of Police) directs all Sector Commanders and DPOs to deploy adequately inward Abuja. Time in position, 1530hrs”, the communication reads.
