Buhari Address: I’m done, guys please look out for yourselves, Toke Makinwa says
Popular On-Air Personality, Toke Makinwa has expressed disappointment at the national address of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) on Thursday.
After about two days of expecting the president’s address on the recent chaos that erupted in the country, especially the attack of unarmed protesters by soldiers at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos on Tuesday night.
Reacting to Buhari’s 12-minute recorded address, Makinwa says she has given up on the country, urging everyone to look out for themselves.
Makinwa was more saddened as Buhari did not comment on the Lekki toll gate attack as well as the unrest in Lagos as well as other parts of the country.
“He spent time praising his administration and sharing his plans to alleviate Poverty, yet today alone a warehouse with palliatives was discovered, Is this even a country?
“I’m done, guys pls look out for yourselves, as you can see no one cares about you, imagine the souls we lost, their families tuning in to watch the president address the Nation and he mentions nothing about the order to shoot unarmed Nigerians.”
