BET Awards: Burna Boy goshes as Mama Burna sends Twitter abuzz with iconic acceptance speech

If there is one thing lovers of pop-culture in Nigeria are certain of about Burna Boy’s mother popular among her son’s fans as Mama Burna, it is the fact that she is a firm believer in her son’s music career and the Africa continent.

She displayed this known side of her at the BET Award earlier today as she received the award for her son whom she described as a restless being when he was not seen inside the hall when he was announced winner of the Best International Act.

She said, “Thank you BET, Thank you Africa because that’s the constituency for which we got noticed in the first place.

“The message from Burna, I believe will be that every black person should please remember that you were Africans before you became anything else,”

Burna Boy son is no doubt so in love with his mother’s speech which had since sent the social media abuzz with several reactions from Nigerians and Africans across the world.
