Best-dressed female: I could have made similar mistake, says Femi Branch

Published

Popular Nollywood Actor, Femi Branch, has revealed that he could have made the same mistake as his colleague, Femi Adebayo, did to announce popular cross dresser, Idris Okuneye, Bobrisky, as the best-dressed female during a movie premiere.

Recall that Bobrisky was named the best-dressed female at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s new movie ‘Beast of Two Worlds (Ajakaju)’, sparking outrage.

The backlashes spiraled into exchange of words between Nollywood stars, Dayo Amusa, Adebayo and his wife, as well as Abiola Kazeem, aka Jigan, on social media.

Giving his two cents on the trending debate, Branch, in a post via his Instagram page, expressed disappointment that his colleagues brought matters that should be settled privately to the public domain

He said he had earlier discussed the issue with both Femi Adebayo and Dayo Amusa privately before coming online to talk about it.

Branch said “Wwhat happened to Femi Adebayo could have happened to anyone, it was a spur of the moment and he went there to support a colleague.

“I have would have done the same if I was the one in that situation, it was truely an honest mistake”

Femi stated that Dayo Amusa’s outburst was justified and she has a right to express herself as a woman and it is not out of place.

He further said any artist that came out to take sides in the matter is hypocritical and could have been done privately with the concerned individuals.

Several reactions from celebrities and fans have trailed the announcement.
