Being unmarried at 40 not a curse – Toke Makinwa
Media personality, Toke Makinwa has taken to her Twitter page to address the issue of age-shaming, particularly as it concerns women.
Makinwa is a Nigerian radio personality, television host, vlogger, lifestyle entrepreneur and author.
She is known for hosting The Morning Drive on Rhythm 93.7 FM and for her YouTube Vlog series Toke Moments.
According to the 36-year-old, Nigerians need to stop insulting women just because they are almost 40 and are not married.
The media entrepreneur who was obviously infuriated by the stigma queried the rationale behind people thinking 40 years is the deadline for unmarried women.
