A middle-aged man identified as Chibuike aka Achi reportedly died on Thursday evening after he took a mixture of dry gin and tramadol in Okomoko, Rivers State.

Reports said the deceased took the drug and gin in preparation for a fight with a young man. The deceased after loading himself with tramadol and spirit reportedly headed to a bakery in the area to beat up a young man.

It was gathered that the deceased went to beat the young for allegedly snatching his girlfriend. He was said to be returning home after successfully beating the young man when he collapsed and died.

When residents rushed to the scene to try and see if they can help him, they discovered a bottle of dry gin, tramadol, lighter and a penknife in his pockets.

However, police have arrested the snatched girlfriend and the young man he fought with over the incident.
