The All Progressives Congress has announced its timetable and schedule of activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the document was endorsed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu.

Morka explained that the timetable outlines key activities, including timelines for screening, appeals, and primary elections, as well as guidelines for the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms to aspirants.

According to the schedule, presidential aspirants are required to pay ₦100 million for expression of interest and nomination forms, while governorship aspirants will pay ₦50 million.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that aspirants for the House of Representatives are to pay ₦10 million, Senate aspirants ₦20 million, and State House of Assembly hopefuls ₦6 million, covering both expression of interest and nomination forms.

The party also announced concessions for female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities, who are expected to pay only for expression of interest forms and 50 per cent of the nomination fees.

The timetable indicates that notices of election were issued to state chapters beginning April 20, 2026, marking the commencement of the party’s internal electoral process.

Sales of nomination forms are scheduled between April 25 and May 2, 2026, while submission of completed forms and supporting documents is set to close on May 4, 2026.

Screening of aspirants across all categories, including presidential, governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly positions, will take place from May 6 to May 8.

The screening of presidential aspirants is fixed for May 9, while the publication of screening results for all categories is scheduled for May 11.

Appeals arising from the screening process will be heard between May 12 and May 13, giving dissatisfied aspirants an avenue to seek redress.

Primary elections will begin with the presidential primary slated for May 15 and May 16, followed by House of Representatives primaries on May 18.

Senate primaries are scheduled for May 20, while State House of Assembly primaries will hold on May 21, with governorship primaries concluding the exercise on May 23.

The timetable further provides for election appeals, with presidential appeals set for May 18, while appeals for other positions will continue until May 25.

Morka assured party members, stakeholders, and the public of the APC’s commitment to conducting credible and transparent primaries that will strengthen internal democracy.

He added that the schedule reflects the party’s determination to ensure fairness, inclusiveness, and equal opportunity for all aspirants.
