A 17-year-old boy identified as Dominic Adiele has been beaten to death by his uncle, the wife and his six cousins over an ancestral inheritance in Imo State.

Reports said the sad incident happened on Sunday, May 27, 2018, in Uzi-Ezike kindred Umuzu in Eziama-Ubulu community of Oru west local government area of the state.

The victim, who was said to have been rushed to an undisclosed hospital in Ihiala, Anambra State, for medical attention after the attack, died on May 28, 2018.

Reports said the attack followed an argument with his uncle, Patrick Adiele, his wife; Theresa Adiele and their eldest son, Somkelee Adiele over possessions in a shared ancestral inherited compound.

It was gathered that the Adiele’s have fought for years over the inheritances; and that Dominic’s father, Odinma Adiele, was allegedly killed in similar circumstance 15 years ago by the same Patrick.

The young boy’s death reportedly sparked anger from his maternal relatives of Awo-idemili. The maternal family members stormed Uziezike on May 29, 2018, and in conjunction with the angry residents, burned down Patrick’s house and destroyed his economic trees.
