A Masters student of Architecture at the Anambra State University, Kingsley Akuekwe also know as Ichaka,  has died after slumping while playing football.

The incident happened on Sunday evening during a match between COOUMSA and NAUMSA. Kingsley Akuekwe aka Ichaka was said to have died immediately.

Akuekwe’s death was announced in a statement by Command Secondary School Abakaliki Alumni, a group which he was a member.

The statement signed by Onwusogbulu Ifeanyi, PRO1 CSSA Alumni, said

It is with deep regret and profound sadness that the Alumni announces the early demise of a great and a promising young commando, Mr Kingsley Akuekwe aka Ichaka. Ichaka was of the 2009 set of CSSA, in Dragon House

Until his demised Ichaka was an MSC student of Architecture of Anambra State University. He hails from Ukpo town, Dunukofia LGA of Anambra state

He is survived by family, friends and well-wishers. On behalf of the Alumni, we wish the family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
