Nigerian-American singer, Kechi Okwuchi, has once again proven that she is a “champion of life” as has she returned for the “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” which started on Monday, January 28th with former winners and standout acts from different editions.

The beautiful third-degree burn survivor gave a stellar performance as she performed “You Are The Reason” by Callum Scott to the judges and audience.

Simon Cowell welled-up with emotion as he gave Kechi Okwuchi the Golden Buzzer treatment on Monday’s episode of America’s Got Talent: The Champions.

Commenting on her performance, Simon Cowell said: “I’m going to be honest with you. I didn’t really like it that much…”

“… I actually loved it!” he continued before hitting the Golden Buzzer.

He added; “My one regret is I never got the chance to give her the Golden Buzzer. You wanna know what a champion is – this is a champion.”

As he walked back to the judges’ table, he told the others: “I love her so much.”

Okwuchi heads to the finals, where she will compete against fellow Golden Buzzer-winning singers Susan Boyle and Angelica Hale.

The 28-year old motivational speaker also celebrated her win on her Instagram page.
