Manchester United have announced the indefinite suspension of youngster Mason Greenwood after his girlfriend accused him of domestic violence.

WuzupNigeria reported earlier on Sunday that his girlfriend, Harriet Robson, uploaded a series of pictures and audio recordings to her Instagram page to show how the forward brutalised her.

“To everyone who wants to know what Mason Greenwood actually does to me,” she captioned the post which included a since-deleted audio recording where she accused the star of forcing her to have sex.

In a first reaction to the allegations, the Red Devils said they do not condone violence of any kind and “will not make any further comment until the facts have been established.”

However, the club released a second statement later on Sunday, stating that the attacker will not be taking part in training or matches.

“Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, Greater Manchester Police said it was working to “establish the full circumstances.”
