Aisha Buhari donates relief materials to repatriated IDPs
Barely two months after launching her Get Involved initiative, First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari has realised enough enough relief materials to donate to returnees in Kaga community Borno State.
The first lady made the donation on Thursday alongside the governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima his wife H.E Nana Shettima. Mrs. Buhari also expressed happiness at the fact that peace has returned to parts of the state.
She said: It gladdens my heart to know that peace has returned to some areas in Borno State. Today myself alongside the Governor of Borno State, H.E Kashim Shettima his amiable wife H.E Nana Shettima and some of my associates flagged off the distribution of relief materials realised from the launch of my #GetInvolved initiative which was launched in August.
“Food items and other essential commodities were distributed to the displaced victims of insurgency, who have now resettled back in their community, Kaga Local government area in Borno State.”
