AFL: Wydad beat Enyimba 3-0 in Morocco
Nigerian champions Enyimba International suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in the African Football League on Thursday evening, sending them out of the competition.
Wydad dominated the game from the start and took the lead in the 4th minute through Amin El Amoud.
Jamal Harkass doubled the hosts’ lead in the 38th minute, and Yahia Attiyat Allah added a third goal in the 44th minute to give Wydad a comfortable lead at halftime.
Enyimba tried to come back into the game in the second half, but they were unable to break down the well-organized Wydad defense.
The game ended 3-0, and Wydad advanced to the semifinals with a 4-0 aggregate victory.
Wydad will now face Esperance of Tunisia in the semifinals
