AFCON: ‘Ours is action’ – Osimhen hails Super Eagles spirit
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has emphasized the importance of action over words amidst the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
Following Nigeria’s 1-0 victory over Angola in the quarterfinal match on Friday, the Napoli star extended his congratulations to Jose Peseiro’s team for securing a spot in the tournament’s last four, while also acknowledging the Angola team’s efforts.
Taking to his Instagram story, the 25-year-old expressed his sentiment, stating, ““Talk is cheap!!! Na on top field we go dig am, congratulations to the team! Unto the next one. Respect to the Angola team.”
Osimhen has tallied one goal in five matches at the AFCON thus far.
As Nigeria advances to the semifinals, he aims to lead the team to success in their upcoming clash against either Cape Verde or South Africa on Wednesday.
