The African Democratic Congress has submitted the names and relevant details of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, to the Independent National Electoral Commission nomination portal.
The party’s national publicity secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, disclosed the development in a statement shared on X on Tuesday night.
He wrote, “We are pleased to announce that we have successfully uploaded the names and particulars of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar (GCON), and our vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi (CON), to the nomination portal of INEC.”
Abdullahi described the submission as a significant step in the party’s preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He added that the action demonstrates the ADC’s determination to provide Nigerians with “a credible alternative built on competence, unity, and national renewal”.
