Adamawa police apprehend man with 13 stolen ATM cards
The Adamawa State Police Command has successfully apprehended a man, identified as Abubakar Tasi’u Tanimu, in possession of 13 ATM cards suspected to be stolen.
The arrest occurred last Friday, December 29, 2023, during a surveillance patrol around Jambutu Motor Park, Jimeta, Yola.
According to the police statement released on Tuesday, the suspect was taken into custody by police operatives attached to the Department of State Intelligence.
The 31-year-old Abubakar Tasi’u Tanimu resides in the Tsohon Kasuwa neighborhood.
The ATM cards, linked to various banks, were reported stolen from a market in Mayo-Belwa, a local government area in the southern part of Adamawa State.
The police, in their statement signed by SP Suleiman Nguroje, assured the public that an investigation is underway.
“Investigation reveals that the suspect stole the items from Tsohon Kasuwa Mayo Belwa Local Government Area,” the police stated.
