Actress Eniola Ajao has taken a step forward to address the uproar surrounding her recent movie premiere, “AJAKAJU,” held on March 24, by issuing a heartfelt apology to the public.

In a statement released on Thursday, Ajao expressed deep regret for the events that unfolded at the premiere, assuming full responsibility and seeking forgiveness from those impacted.

“I address you all today, taking full responsibility and seeking your pardon with my deepest regrets for the distress and turmoil caused by the events surrounding the selection of Best Dressed at the premiere of ‘Àjàkájù’,” Ajao stated.

She extended apologies to the Muslim community for any inconvenience caused during the holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing her respect for the significance of the period and clarifying that causing offense was never her intention.

Moreover, Ajao extended profound apologies to women, underlining her understanding of the importance of honoring womanhood with dignity and respect.

“As a woman, I value these principles deeply. I want to assure you that I hold the utmost reverence for womanhood, and I would never intentionally engage in any behavior that diminishes or disparages the role of women in our society,” she affirmed.

Ajao also addressed the backlash received by actor Femi Adebayo and his wife, Omotayo Maimunat, due to an announcement made at the event, taking full responsibility and expressing regret for any harm caused.

In a bid to make amends, Ajao announced her decision to honor Papaya Ex and Iyabo Ojo as the best-dressed females at the premiere, each receiving a sum of N1,000,000 as a token of her sincere apology and appreciation for their grace and elegance.

“I am truly sorry for any distress this may have caused. I am committed to learning and growing from this experience; your forgiveness and support would mean the world to me,” she appealed.
