Abductors of Kaduna first class monarch demand N100m ransom
Barely 48 hours after the abduction of the oldest monarch in the north, the paramount ruler of Jaba Chiefdom, otherwise known as the Kpop Ham, Dr Jonathan Danladi Gyet Maude, the assailants have reportedly made a ransom demand of N100 million.
WuzupNigeria reported that the first-class monarch was kidnapped on Monday by gunmen on his farm at Gitata community, Nasarawa State, a boundary between the two states.
The news of the monarch’s abduction was confirmed on phone by his brother, Anthony Maude.
Reports revealed that the 80-year-old traditional ruler was on his farm with his driver and a security guard when he was kidnapped.
The driver and guard were however left behind by the abductors, according to the report.
However, DailyPost, quoting a close family member who pleaded anonymity, reports that Maude’s family were reportedly contacted by the kidnappers on Tuesday demanding N100 million ransom for his release.
